Chocolate, wine and a bubble bath for two make the perfect Valentine’s day at home. Romance in your own home can prove a tall order to fill however, between dishes and laundry relaxing often gets squeezed out. So, if you’re looking to explore a new area or find passion in rows of grape vines look here to find some inspiration for a Valentine’s weekend getaway in the Pacific Northwest.

The Black Walnut Inn & Vineyard | Dundee, OR
The Black Walnut Inn has breathtaking views and the added benefit of soothing quiet that comes with being located among their own vines. For Valentine’s weekend, the inn will be offering a six-course dinner in the elegantly decorated dining room. The team can accommodate just about all dietary restrictions like vegan and gluten-free with advanced notice. The Black Walnut Inn focuses on ingredients that are fresh and local, next to wines from their own backyard of the Willamette Valley. Plates for their Valentine’s weekend are $190 per person.

Burrowing Owl | Oliver, BC
Just 20 miles past the border in British Columbia sits Burrowing Owl Winery. This Valentine’s Day the winery and restaurant will be offering a four-course dinner, served in the Sonora dining room. Guest packages include dinner and breakfast, with a spotlight on locally sourced ingredients, running about $120-150 per person. Inn at Discovery Coast | Long Beach, WA
There are few things cozier than a warm room and the sound of surf. The Inn at Discovery Coast’s romance package includes a box of Adrift truffles, a bottle of Argyle Brut and as an added touch a sprinkling of rose petals across your room. Stephanie Inn | Cannon Beach, OR
The Stephanie Inn is an ideal getaway for the Portland dweller. Located in Cannon Beach the inn will be offering a special five-course Valentine’s dinner. If you can’t make it to the beach midweek never fear, the Stephanie Inn will be offering dinner everyday between Feb. 12-17. The Inn also offers evening wine and beer tastings, which highlight drinks born in the Pacific Northwest. The five-course meal is $199 per person and you don’t have to be a guest at the inn to stop by for dinner, but reservations are required. 

Cameo Heights Mansion | Walla Walla, WA
The Cameo Heights Mansion is just that — a mansion! Situated near rows of grapes, the B&B has seven suite-style rooms each with a different decorating theme. The Cameo emphasizes romance with amenities like handmade soaps and conditioner in the gift boxes or the restaurant’s menu, which for the week of Valentine’s will feature aphrodisiacs. They also offer kits filled with s’mores to make by their outdoor fire and hikes through the vineyard. Reservations can be made online.

The Sou’Wester | Seaview, WA
If you’re looking for a quirky and laid-back Valentine’s weekend, consider The Sou’Wester. The rustic accommodations offer individual rooms in the main lodge or cottages, but the real fun is staying in one of the vintage travel trailers. The Sou’Wester also has a Finnish spa and therapeutic massage. Just a stone’s throw away from the Deschutes River, The Pine Ridge Inn offers a quiet and secluded getaway. The romance package for Valentine’s weekend includes a bouquet of roses, heart-shaped chocolate and breakfast in bed. Most of the rooms have river views and walking trails are easily accessible.
