2019 Walla Walla Valley Syrah
Canvasback, Walla Walla, WA

Canvasback winemaker Brian Rudin sourced fruit from the popular Rocks District for his 2019 Walla Walla Valley Syrah. This lush wine opens with aromas of dehydrated strawberry, sweet-tart boysenberry, and a whiff of warm spice. On the palate, this deep berry-hued wine offers the bite of pomegranate, the juiciness of raspberry pie, and fresh-cut rhubarb with hints of tobacco leaf. A taut minerality laces it all together.

Lighter in weight and alcohol (only 13.6% ABV) than your usual Washington Syrah, the Canvasback Syrah is intriguingly layered and flavorful without being overpowering.
