Skip Rock Distillers Badger Pocket Black Peppercorn Flavored Vodka

by | Jan 22, 2016

Badger Pocket (according to Skip Rock Distillers, who gave their potato vodka line the same name) is “more than a place on the map. It’s an attitude that is shared by many that are lucky enough to call this place home.” This Central Washington locale is all about taking things slow in a fast-paced world—and, it would seem, distilling with a matching brand of intention and care.

Skip Rock Distillers Badger Pocket Black Peppercorn flavored vodka, specifically, was born of a partnership with Jeff Leichleiter, co-founder of regionally beloved Washington’s Tim’s Cascade Potato Chips. The savory potato chip mentality is present in this liquor, which is distilled in Snohomish in small batches from Washington potatoes. The potato base then gains color and kick from its namesake infusion, which adds a peppery heat that slowly unfolds on the finish. Altogether, the result is a punchy spirit to sip alone, or a unique mixer for edgy, savory cocktails of all kinds.
