Charles Smith Redefines the Category with CasaSmith LINCE PINOT GRIGIO — A Single‑Vineyard, Sustainably Farmed Standout

by | Sep 15, 2026

SEATTLE, WA — September 15, 2026 — Legendary winemaker Charles Smith of House of Smith today announces the newest release under his CasaSmith label: 2024 LINCE Pinot Grigio, a vibrant, single‑vineyard expression crafted with the rebellious precision and unmistakable personality that has defined Smith’s career.

“This is likely the best Pinot Grigio you’ve ever had and I drink more of this wine than anything else that I’ve made,” said Charles Smith. “This is truly one of my most exceptional wines — a fresh, expressive white that balances Italian inspiration with Washington State distinction. The release pushes quality, delivering a wine that is wildly approachable and unmistakably premium. What a deal.”

The 2024 LINCE Pinot Grigio is native fermented, sustainably farmed, and sourced from a single vineyard chosen specifically for its ideal soils — a hallmark of Smith’s thoughtful approach to site selection. Deep and delicious, it’s crafted for off the charts everyday enjoyment and will be a staple for wine lovers nationwide.

It is available now for $20 via House of Smith tasting rooms, select national retailers, and online at HouseofSmith.com.

CasaSmith is Charles Smith’s collection of Washington-grown wines made from classic Italian varietals.  Starting in the north of Italy, Barbera from Piedmont, Sangiovese from Tuscany, Primitivo from the Puglia in the south, and now Pinot Grigio from Alto Adige, these wines represent the best of Italy but are grown and produced in Washington. Each wine is named after an animal native to historic Italian grape-growing regions, as depicted on the labels. Pinot Grigio is Lince for the wild cat Lynx in the Italian Alps, Barbera is Cervo, for a deer native to Piedmont; Sangiovese is named Cinghiale for the wild boar of Tuscany; and Primitivo is Porscopino, a crested porcupine from Puglia. CasaSmith wines are delicious every day, alone or accompanying a favorite Italian dish.

Smith remains one of America’s most distinctive winemakers, known for crafting both 100‑point, critically acclaimed wines and high‑volume bottlings that overdeliver at every price point.
