Sweet Cheeks Winery Unveils Officially Licensed University of Oregon Wines: A Toast to Oregon

by | Nov 19, 2025

EUGENE, Ore. — November 13, 2025  — Sweet Cheeks Winery is proud to announce the release of its exclusive University of Oregon Pinot Noir ($38) and University of Oregon Pinot Gris ($28) — two premium wines crafted to celebrate the vibrant community, spirit, and legacy of the University of Oregon. These wines will be available starting December 1, 2025 (see availability below).

Rooted in the rolling hills just outside Eugene, Sweet Cheeks Winery has long shared a deep connection with the university and the passionate Duck fans who call this region home. The new University of Oregon wines embody that shared sense of pride for our community — a true Oregon story that celebrates where we live, learn, and grow together.

“These wines were crafted with the same dedication, creativity, and passion that define the University of Oregon community,” said Jessica Thomas, General Manager at Sweet Cheeks Winery and UO alumna. “We wanted to create something that Duck alumni, fans, and families can raise a glass to — a true taste of Oregon that reflects the excellence and camaraderie the university inspires.”

The University of Oregon Pinot Noir offers layers of bright cherry, raspberry, and subtle spice, showcasing the elegance and complexity of Oregon’s Willamette Valley fruit. The University of Oregon Pinot Gris is crisp and refreshing, with notes of pear, citrus, and white blossom — a lively expression perfect for celebrations big and small.

Both wines feature the University of Oregon’s official O and other branding and are available for purchase exclusively through Sweet Cheeks Winery’s tasting room and online store.

“Sweet Cheeks Winery and the University of Oregon share a love for this community and the land that sustains it,” Katie Brown, Consumer Sales & Marketing Director of Sweet Cheeks Winery, and fellow UO alumna. “The majority of our team are proud Duck alumni, and this collaboration is a heartfelt tribute to the place and people who shaped us. These wines are more than just a label — they’re a celebration of the friendships, memories, and pride that unite Ducks everywhere.”

Raise your glass to Oregon — and savor the taste of tradition.
