It’s time to Entwine! The 2013 Entwine wine reception, dinner and auction is just around the corner. Organized to raise funding for scholarships and recognize exceptional graduates of Walla Walla Community College’s award-winning programs, Entwine is an evening of elevated dining paired with delicious wines. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 12, at Walla Walla Community College’s Dietrich Dome and will be hosted by radio personality and former star of “Evening Magazine,” John Curley.
The evening will begin with a silent auction and wine reception showcasing 22 wineries. Each winery featured at the event will be joined by a graduate or current student of Walla Walla Community College’s celebrated Enology and Viticulture program, together pouring a selection of sensational wines.
Shortly following the silent auction and reception is a four-course, gourmet dinner and live auction. Perfectly paired with a variety of outstanding wines, guests of the event will dine amidst an assortment of “one-of-a-kind lots.” Bid on wine collections from winery members of the Advisory Board or take a shot at a wine country excursion complete with a lavish lunch provided by the Wine Country Culinary Institute.
Honored at the event will be the 2013 Distinguished Enology and Viticulture Graduates: Matte Huse of Five Star Cellars, Marcus Miller of Airfield Estates, Chris Peterson of Avennia and Tanya Woodley of SuLei Cellars; and the 2013 Distinguished Culinary Graduates: Caren McIntrye of Bon Apetit and Brian Mahan of Graze. Honored and recognized for their noteworthy work and completion of these highly-acclaimed programs, these graduates are the spotlight of the event.
