Gigantic Brewing’s Annual Kölsch Party Returns August 22

Gigantic Brewing invites beer lovers to raise a glass at the return of its annual Kölsch Party on Saturday, August 22, from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the brewery’s Southeast Portland taproom, 5224 SE 26th Ave.
Celebrating one of Germany’s most beloved beer styles, the Kölsch Party brings together an outstanding lineup of ten Kölsch-style beers.

Guests can experience the event the traditional Cologne way by purchasing a commemorative Kölsch Party stange—the iconic tall, slender glass used throughout Germany—for $4. Using a custom Kölsch Party coaster, attendees can order up to five 12-ounce pours at a time, with each beer priced at $5.
Throughout the afternoon, Portland’s beloved Festival Brass will perform live, filling the brewery with lively German brass music that captures the spirit of a traditional biergarten celebration.
Food will be equally worthy of the occasion. Otto’s Sausage Kitchen is creating special Kölschtastic Beer Sausages exclusively for the event, grilled fresh throughout the day. Nascent Bread will also be serving handcrafted pretzels, including classic salted, unsalted, and specialty seasonal varieties.
The Kölsch Party has become one of Gigantic Brewing’s signature summer traditions, bringing together exceptional breweries, authentic German-inspired food, live music, and one of the world’s most refreshing beer styles in a laid-back community celebration.
Admission is free. The event is open to guests 21 and over with valid ID.
