10 Barrel Brewing Swill Beer

by | Aug 15, 2013

10 Barrel Brewing is now the proud owner of two pubs in two beer-boasting states—Oregon and Idaho. In Bend and Boise, respectively, the latter location is the first “new” brewpub to open in city limits since 1991. The brewery’s famous wood-fire pizzas are available in both pubs, same as their staples like their India Session Ale and Apocalypse IPA, although production has stayed home in Bend. Also available in the twin pubs is the seasonal Swill Beer. This beer is a summer romance in a glass—sweet and flirty in malts and orange flavors, bright and sunny in acid and citrus aromas, warm and approachable with only 14 IBUs, easy to bring home to the parents for temporary approval with only 4.6% alcohol and gone by the time school starts in the fall.
