2nd Annual Everett Craft Beer Festival

by | Aug 1, 2013

For the Washington Beer Commission, their summer sun has just about set. But before they launch into the fall Oktoberfestivities, one final brewed up batch of beer bash should ring off the summer nicely.

The 2nd Annual Everett Craft Beer Festival will take flight starting at noon on Aug. 17 in the city’s downtown. Unlike the coffee-buzzing brews from last month’s Bremerton Summer BrewFest, the special theme for the brewers heading to Everett will be fruit-infused and other interesting hop concocted creations.

As many as 30 Washington brewers will arrive with more than 80 fruitful brews to fill up those five ounce tasting glasses for your enjoyment. An expected 3,000 beer lovers are anticipated to pass the festival’s entrance near Hewitt Avenue on Hoyt Avenue.

Of the variety of brewers attending, Everett’s own Lazy Boy, Scuttlebutt and Justice Brewing are joining the bash. Others attending include: 192 Brewing Company, Boundary Bay Brewery, Reuben’s Brews and Island Hoppin’ Brewery.

Chow down on eats from Dante’s Inferno Hot Dogs inside the festival or head out and explore some of the surrounding eats in downtown Everett. No need to worry about re-entry at this festival, just remember to keep those wristbands on.

As with the commission’s other festivals, live music comes standard and designated driver tickets will be available at the door to keep things leisurely responsible.

Even though summer is nowhere near being done, one more summer beer bonanza won’t hurt.
