Thinking Tree Spirits partners with Chef Michael Stember on Family Meal ‘22 dinner pop-up for World Athletic Championships

Eugene’s women-led craft distillery will provide specialty batch cocktails for the nightly dinner series. 

EUGENE, Ore. July 12, 2022 – Thinking Tree Spirits, Eugene’s women-led, farm-to-flask distillery and tasting room, announces a partnership with Chef and Olympic distance runner Michael Stember on his pop-up dinner series, Family Meal ‘22, hosted nightly throughout the World Athletic Championships from July 14-24, 2022 in Eugene’s Whiteaker neighborhood. Family Meal is inspired by Chef Michael’s time as an Olympic runner, with a menu meant to fuel athletes and please fans, featuring a three-tier Omakase served family-style for group reservations and a select walk-in menu with premium-sourced seafood and beef. Thinking Tree Spirits will exclusively provide cocktails for the pop-up. 

“We have a lot of hometown pride to see Eugene host the World Athletic Championships, and are excited to partner with Chef Michael Stember because Family Meal is really a celebration of community,” says Emily Jensen, CEO and founder of Thinking Tree Spirits. “Our spirits take inspiration from the Willamette Valley, and we look forward to showing off our region through these particular cocktails.” 

Thinking Tree will serve two specialty cocktails for Family Meal ‘22: Butterfly Pea Lavender Vodka Lemonade with Thinking Tree Spirits Main Stage Vodka infused with Butterfly Pea flower and lavender, combined with a tart and lightly sweetened lemonade; and a Spanish G&T with Thinking Tree Gracious and Herbaceous Gifted Gin, Fever-Tree tonic, botanicals, fresh herbs and citrus. 

Family Meal ‘22 is open for large group reservations and walk-ins from 5 p.m-2 a.m nightly. “As an Olympic runner and a chef, I’m excited to serve fans traveling from all over the globe to experience the World Championships on American soil for the first time,” says Chef Michael Stember. “Family Meal is an open invitation to fans who love a variety of global flavors and want to gather after the day’s events.” Notable attendees will include Tracksmith, On Shoes and Bowerman Track Club.
