The Community Cocktail has returned to Ascend Prime Steak & Sushi this June for guests to sip and support for Pride Month! Ascend Prime has partnered with AHG Cares, the philanthropic arm of its restaurant group AHG, to donate $2 from every Community Cocktail sold to the Lambert House, an LGBTQ+ youth center headquartered in Seattle serving youth across King County.
For sipping now through the end of June, the vibrant and bubbling Community Cocktail is titled the Jasmine Dragon, and features Seattle’s Westland Single Malt Whiskey.
“We wanted to create summer in a glass with the Jasmine Dragon,” says Skyler Fancher, lead bartender at Ascend Prime. “It combines the floral elegance of jasmine flowers with the juicy sweetness of ripe peaches that we prepare over our woodfire grill. Westland Single Malt Whiskey brightens the mix, making it refreshing and perfectly balanced. Finished with our peach cardamom air, this cocktail is made for summer sipping, tasting even better since it supports a great cause!”
“Lambert House is a force for good in the effort to build a world in which LGBTQ+ youth command equality in their families, schools, and communities,” says Brandon Knox, Lambert House program director. “We are grateful for Ascend’s partnership and support of our mission, and we thank all of their patrons for the support by purchasing the Community Cocktail, or connecting with us as a volunteer, donor, or sharing our programs with LGBTQ+ youth in their lives.”
