Parallel 49 Brewing Co. Filthy Dirty IPA

by | Sep 10, 2015

Most of the empty beer bottles that end up on my shelf earned their spot after giving me a taste worth remembering. However, before I can even taste it, it has to call out to me in a certain way. Labels often play a large role in the beer I choose to drink and Parallel 49 Brewing’s Filthy Dirty IPA has one hell of a label. The sneering pig and color contrast gives the beer attitude and a personality. Luckily, the label is not the best part to this Vancouver-brewed beer.

This sturdy IPA, measuring in at 7.2 percent ABV, contains a strong hoppiness that is highlighted by an even hoppier aroma. Those hops and malt hit you full force before receding and lingering in the background for a while. For being such a strong IPA, it drinks relatively light. The Filthy Dirty will sit on my shelf to both show off the label, and to remember the brew.
