“This whole event is to thank our community for supporting us, loving us, and raising a glass with us for the past 10 years,” said Molly Leadbetter, founding and managing owner of Meriwether Cider Co. “Small business is a labor of love, and we sure love what we do.”
Founded in 2016, Meriwether Cider has grown from a small production space into a recognized name in Idaho’s craft beverage community, with a downtown cider house, expanded distribution, and a lineup of ciders made without artificial flavors or additives. Leadbetter, now Idaho’s only Certified Pommelier, has also helped introduce more Idahoans to the depth and versatility of cider through new offerings and collaborations.
At the anniversary event guests can enjoy live music from Ryan Curtis and High Pine Whiskey Yell, food from local favorites including Big Beantz, Taste of the Caribbean, Piou Pizza, and the STIL Ice Cream. Additionally, they’ll have live screen printing, hands-on activities, and flash tattoos inspired by Idaho and apple culture. Staff from the Old Idaho Penitentiary will also be on site for guided experiences.
“We’ve always believed cider should be something you can share, regardless of whether you’re celebrating a big milestone or a simple moment,” Leadbetter said. “That’s what our motto ‘to adventures great and small’ means to us. And 10 years in, this has been an awfully big adventure.”
