Keep things festive and fun with this spicy-sweet and downright delicious holiday cocktail that combines Rakomelo Brandy from Mastrogiannis Distillery & Winery with jalapeños, mint, grapefruit, honey and pomegranate. The natural spice from the jalapeño pairs well with mint and the honey-infused Rakomelo. Trust us, you will make another one!
INGEDIENTS
2 ounces Mastrogiannis Rakomelo Brandy
1 ounce fresh grapefruit juice
Juice from half a lime
1-2 jalapeño slices
1-2 mint leaves
1-2 tsp honey
Pomegranate arils
Ginger beer, to top
Sugar, for the rim
DIRECTIONS
For a sugar rim, add granulated sugar to a shallow dish. Wet the rim of an old fashioned glass with either lime or grapefruit juice, then dip into the sugar. Fill prepared glass with ice. Fill a shaker tin with ice, and combine the Rakomelo, lime juice, grapefruit juice, honey, mint and jalapeños. Shake until combined, about 20 seconds. Strain into your prepared glass. Top with ginger beer and garnish as desired.
