A Celebration of Latino Food, Wine & Culture in Oregon Wine Country

McMINNVILLE, Ore. (July 16, 2026) — For generations, Latino chefs, vineyard workers, winemakers, and entrepreneurs have helped shape Oregon’s food and wine industry. This September, many of those stories will be celebrated together for the first time at the inaugural Latino Maker Food & Wine Convivio in McMinnville.

Taking place September 25 and 26, the Convivio was created to bring visibility to Latino-owned businesses while creating space for conversation, education and connection. The weekend includes a panel discussion exploring cultural identity, a multi-course wine dinner, and a festival-style tasting event where guests can meet the makers behind the food and wine.

“One of the things we kept coming back to while planning this event was the people,” said Elena Rodriguez, Owner of Alumbra Cellars and Co-Organizer of LMFW. “The Convivio is about recognizing the work, talent and traditions that have always been part of Oregon’s food and wine story. We want to create an opportunity for people to gather around the table together and experience Oregon wine country through a different lens.”

The weekend begins Friday, September 25, at The Preserve with Latino Change Makers: Navigating Cultural Identity, a lunchtime panel discussion bringing together leaders from Oregon’s wine, culinary, tourism, and hospitality industries. Panelists will explore how culture and identity have shaped their careers, leadership, and approach to building community. The conversation will be followed by an intimate five-course dinner put together by collaborating Latino chefs and winemakers.

On Saturday, September 26, the celebration continues at The Ground at Stillwater with a festival-style tasting event where guests can meet winemakers and chefs, enjoy food from across the region and learn more about the stories behind each participating business.

More than a food and wine festival, organizers hope the Convivio becomes an annual gathering where community comes first and every guest leaves with a deeper appreciation for the people behind Oregon’s vineyards, kitchens and small businesses.
