Finnriver Farm & Cidery Honey Meadow

by | Jun 2, 2015

Finnriver Farm & Cidery is a cider maker that not only knows how to make cider, but also knows how to present it. The half-liter bottle that the Honey Meadow variety comes in is wrapped in a beautiful label that gives off an elegant and traditional feel. The darkened edges and cursive writing makes it feel as though you found the bottle washed up on the beach after it spent a lifetime bobbing at sea. The moment the cap is pried from the bottle, a fragrant cider fume fills the air around you. On first taste, there is familiarity in the apple tones, but there also lingers something new. Some sweetness untasted. Upon further inspection, a bit of honey can be distinguished in the aftertaste the drink leaves you with. Made with a blend of Washington organic apples, organic Olympic Peninsula honey, wild harvested lemon balm and organic chamomile flowers, the Honey Meadow cider in Finnriver’s Elijah K. Swan seasonal botanical line is as pretty on the palate as it is easy on the eyes.
