Drink Pink!

Rosè rolls into the spotlight

Summer has arrived in the Pacific Northwest in all its sunny, (very) warm eminence. With temperatures rising, rather than spending your time outside getting pink, head to the Willamette Valley to drink pink.

Returning to Oregon’s Patton Valley Vineyards is the annual Drink Pink wine affair. Adding more wineries, more chefs and more live music, this year’s celebration of rosè is sure to give this often under-appreciated wine the street cred it deserves to hang with the rest of the gang.

At Patton Valley Vineyards, these folks are big fans of the Willamette Valley’s diversity and quality of rosè. This year’s event is bringing in 24 of the region’s choice producers of rosè to showcase at the vineyard’s humble abode, less than an hour’s drive from Portland.

Participating wineries include: Alexana Winery, Bryn Mawr Vineyards, Division Winemaking Company, Elk Cove Vineyards, Penner-Ash Wine Cellars and Patton Valley Vineyards themselves.

Although perfectly chilled, summery rosès are the centerpiece of this cool afternoon, it certainly won’t be the only opportunity to keep guests invigorated. Returning culinary favorite Crown Paella and newcomer Coquine will cook up enticingly palatable eats for rosè-sipping guests to dine on.

The lively Big Band and Dixieland rhythms of the Pat O’Neal Jazz Band, and French-rock infused blend of Eric John Kaiser also will arrive to keep sipping spirits high throughout the afternoon.

Let’s cheer on rosè as it makes its way into the spotlight with this refreshing and vibrantly spirited summer affair.

Saturday, July 13 || 12 – 4pm || 9449 SW Old Hwy 47 Gaston, Or. || Tickets: $48 per person
