Caffeination Cascadia: The Northwest’s Most Instagrammable Cafés

by | Dec 14, 2015

Cafés and coffee shops love to be Instagrammed, and we love seeing the images, and it’s a great way to get more instagram followers. Between elegant rosettas crowning gourmet mochas, pretty ceramic saucers and cups, cozy spaces to sit or study, and the artsy people that inhabit them, coffee and its environs are among Instagram’s top muses. If you are going to start posting your very own photos on the platform then don’t forget to use a link in Instagram bio too! Perhaps I’m biased, but I can spend hours happily clicking through #latteart masterpieces and cozy #coffeeshop snapshots. I hear some people that take some awesome #coffeshop snapshots use https://kenji.ai to give their follower count a little boost. I hear it led to lots more genuine engagement as well, which is vital for any Instagram page. According to the nitreo article on FollowerGrowth, nitreo is another effective way of doing this.

A few months back we explored five of the Northwest’s best coffee Instagram accounts to follow, but if you’re of a mind to post your own images rather than simply admire them, visit these seven distinctly photogenic cafés across the Northwest and let them inspire you.

Black Coffee Roasting Co. || A wholly unique location whether you’re looking in or looking out, Black Coffee Roasting Co.’s café and roastery is located on the fringes of downtown Missoula inside a semicircular steel quonset hut from the 1940s. The one-of-a-kind space makes for truly stunning environmentals. || 525 East Spruce Street, Missoula

Bedlam Coffee || Forget snapping pictures of your coffee here-it’s all about the weird tchotchke-laden décor (like the life-sized skeleton riding a bike up the wall) that gives this little Emerald City shop its name. The postcard-style “Greetings from Seattle” mural outside also makes a popular photo op. || 2231 Second Avenue, Seattle

Good Coffee || The Scandinavian-inspired, geometrically-executed design of Good Coffee’s two Portland locations pairs white walls and light wood furnishings with vivacious green plants overflowing their pots. It all makes Instagram-worthy material frequently captured both by visiting coffee lovers and the Good Coffee team themselves. || 1150 Southeast 12th Avenue & 4725 Southeast Division Street, Portland

Revolver Coffee || Between exposed brick walls, sky-high windows and the sunlight that constantly seems to be streaming through them, Vancouver’s Revolver Coffee is a dependable presence on Instagram. The world map that covers a full café wall is particularly photogenic. || 325 Cambie Street, Vancouver

Tailored Coffee Roasters || With front window views like these, lighting like this and exposed industrial pipes like these, what’s not to photograph at Eugene’s Tailored Coffee Roasters? || 291 East Fifth Avenue, Eugene

Caffè Umbria || High ceilings and pretty latte art make Caffè Umbria an Instagram contender, but what puts it in the top percentile is the European sidewalk café feel of its front patio seating. || 320 Occidental Avenue South, Seattle

The Colville Street Patisserie || Another Old World-inspired sidewalk café with a prime patio for people-watching and photo-taking, this Walla Walla, Washington haunt offers beautiful desserts, brightly colored umbrellas, gorgeous desserts, bar-style window seating and even more spectacular desserts. || 40 South Colville Street, Walla Walla, WA
