broVo Spirits’ 60 Days of Summer

by | Aug 7, 2013

Summer cocktails should be fresh, refreshing, clean and delicious. If you still need help discovering a beverage cool enough for sunshiny sipping, the folks from the Seattle-based broVo Spirits have the perfect little book of helpful hints to shake, muddle, blend or stir.

Known for their locally crafted botanical spirits, the ladies of broVo Spirits teamed up with bartenders from more than 40 local restaurants and bars to concoct beverages using their liqueurs. These 60 recipes can be found in broVo Spirits’ free 60 Days of Summer booklet.

Fancy a gingery beverage? The team from Queen Anne’s Toulouse Petit have conjured up the Ginger Whip, a summery beverage featuring broVo Spirits’ ginger liqueur, vodka, some lemon and a sprinkling of ginger ale to give it some pop.

Or maybe you’re in the mood for something south of the border. Capitol Hill’s Tavern Law is featured for their La Amarillo Rose, which incorporates broVo Spirits’ rose geranium liqueur, blanco tequila, pear brandy and some bitters.

Getting tropical won’t be difficult with Steelhead Diner’s The Mile High Special, a rum beverage with broVo’s amaro No. 1, Clèment Crèole Shrubb, and pineapple and lime juice. The only thing you’ll be missing is a palm tree on a sandy beach.

Although we are just more than halfway through summer, there is still plenty of time to try out these great beverages. These booklets can be found at any of the participating restaurants while they are still around.
