Ben’s Beer Pick!

Upcycle.Two
Three Magnets Brewing, Olympia WA

What do you call an easy drinking beer made with second use hops? Well, if you’re Olympia’s Three Magnets, it’s a juicy blonde ale. However you describe it, this sustainable sipper pours cloudy with a pale gold hue and a rocky head of white foam. Tangerine zest, dessicated coconut, angel food cake, and mango kush join stone fruit and white pine in the aroma—taste it blind and you’d swear Upcycle. Two was an IPA. It drinks like a hazy pale ale with a palate-pleasing softness and flavors of citrus and apricot. The semi-dry finish leaves some bitterness in its wake along with a coconut reprise courtesy of Sabro hops. Far from a simple blonde ale, this beer is simply easy to enjoy over and over.

$14 /4-pack | 6.0% ABV
