Batch 206 Mad Mint Vodka

by | Aug 28, 2015

Batch 206 Distillery, named for its Seattle area code, is currently ranked within the top three selling distilleries in Washington State. Before Jeff Steichen and his wife Daleen opened the distillery in 2012, Steichen was already a big part of the Seattle community as the owner and operator of the crazy popular Showbox music venue. 206 runs through this guy’s veins.

Batch 206 describes their Mad Mint Vodka as a “blizzard in a bottle,” and we can see where they are coming from. One smell will have you convinced that you are about to bite into a peppermint patty, with chocolate and mint leading the aroma. Sweetened with just a bit of beet sugar, the vodka has less sugar than other traditional flavored vodkas, allowing for the taste of grain to still be showcased among the frosty flavor. Flavored with Washington-grown peppermint, the vodka has an incredibly crisp and refreshing flavor that clings to palate long after that first sip. This is one of those bottles to keep on hand, for the versatile drink can be served straight up or in a huge variety of cocktails.
