Atlas Cider Co. Session Apple

by | Jan 26, 2016

The monumental Bend beer scene has done more than impact the brewery world—it’s also paving the way for cideries in the craft savvy Central Oregon city. With the foundation laid, the beer culture is also showing its affect on cider, from hops and Belgian yeast strains to popular styles. Atlas Cider Co. was one of the first in the handful of Bend cideries to step up and embrace its Bend beer heritage and does so with its flagship, session-style cider. The Session Apple does not have hops or ale yeast, but it is comprised of 100 percent Northwest fruit, fermented in a style for it to be crisp, clean and completely sessionable. A term used to describe a beer of lower alcohol content with plenty of flavor, this cider abides to that language with uncomplicated, fruit-forward aromatics and a semi-sweet mid-palate that finishes tart and nearly dry.
