In its first year since opening, Kachka’s distillery has earned industry recognition, released six new vodkas, and now announces shipping to fans statewide
Portland, Ore. — Following a banner first year of operating their own distillery and sister bar, Kachka Fabrika, the team behind famed Portland restaurant Kachka has launched an online store, shipping their vodkas throughout Oregon. Known best for a bottled Horseradish Vodka infusion, Kachka Spirits operated for years as a brand with a single product bottled by local partner distilleries. In 2025, Kachka Spirits launched its own distillery in Northeast Portland, and began perfecting some of the restaurant’s most beloved vodka infusions for bottling. Within a year, the brand has released five new bottled vodka infusions and now distills its own classic Russian-style vodka – the foundation for Kachka’s bestselling vodka martinis.
“Operating our own distillery was always a goal for us – to be able to share our infusions beyond the walls of our restaurants and now to ship our vodka directly to guests – it’s a dream come true,” says co-owner Israel Morales.
Head Distiller Jamie Bones, Kachka’s Beverage Director, heads up the operations at Kachka Spirits in collaboration with company founders Israel and Bonnie Morales. Within the past year, Kachka Spirits has won two awards in the American Craft Spirits Association’s national Craft Spirits Competition: Silver for Kachka Horseradish Vodka and Bronze for Kachka Classic Vodka. Kachka Horseradish Vodka was also awarded a Platinum medal in Best of the Northwest Spirits Awards.
Kachka Spirits’ year-round vodkas include Classic ($24.95/750ml.), Horseradish ($29.95/750ml.), and Pertsovka ($29.95/750ml.) – a new release this year, inspired by a traditional Ukrainian infusion – made with Hungarian peppers and honey. These three products are available at Oregon State Liquor Stores, as well as at Kachka Lavka and Kachka Fabrika.
Kachka Spirits’ seasonal releases are exclusively sold directly from Kachka: at Kachka Lavka, Kachka Fabrika, and now online at kachkaspirits.com for shipping to addresses in Oregon.

Kachka Spirits’ seasonal releases ($34.95/750ml.) are crafted once a year, as follows:
Cacao Nib Vodka – February (first release: 2027)
Rhubarb Vodka, infused with 600 pounds of locally grown rhubarb – May
Strawberry Vodka, infused with local Hood Strawberries – July
Sour Cherry Vodka, infused with juicy, tart sour cherries – August
Krambambulya, infused with honey and warming spices – November
Kachka Spirits also collaborated with Mason Hereford from New Orleans’ Turkey & the Wolf to make a Caraway Rye Toast Vodka in June 2026, which was released at Kachka Fabrika’s Summer of Sandwich party and swiftly sold out.
About Kachka Spirits
Since opening Kachka in 2014, the restaurant has been on a mission to showcase the beauty and breadth of post-Soviet food and drink—especially vodka. Over the years, housemade vodka infusions became a signature of the restaurant, sparking curiosity and conversations at the table. But behind the scenes, co-owners Bonnie and Israel Morales always aspired to create something bigger: to bring distillation in-house. Inside Kachka Spirits’ own distillery (est. 2025), they’ve taken years of tasting, serving, and educating on vodka and channeled them into spirits that are entirely their own. From beloved Kachka Horseradish Vodka to seasonal infusions like Hood Strawberry, Kramambulya, and Rhubarb, every bottle reflects the craft and care that define Kachka. Upon launching Kachka’s distillery, one of the first bottlings was Kachka’s own Classic Wheat Vodka—developed through careful trial and error in the Russian tradition and distilled with Portland’s pure water. Smooth and versatile, it’s the base of Kachka’s signature martinis, and a favorite to sip ice cold with caviar. kachkaspirits.com
