June is Idaho Wine Month, and with National Rosé Day landing on June 14, we turned to local wine pro Kathryn House McClaskey, of House of Wine, for a few standout sips. Her top picks highlight the freshness, finesse, and food-friendliness of Idaho-grown rosé. From elegant and crisp to plush and fruit-forward, these three bottles prove there’s no better time—or place—to raise a glass of pink.

2024 Koenig Vineyards Dry Rosé
This 70% Sangiovese and 30% Merlot blend offer aromas of roses and forest strawberries with a palate that showcases a contrast between the zesty acidity and plush body. Well balanced with enough fruit intensity and finish to pair with a variety of dishes such as cedar planked salmon and roasted pork tenderloin with strawberry salsa.

If delicacy is what you’re looking for, this Rosé of Cinsault is a surefire pick. Just barely pink with light grapefruit notes, crisp acidity, and a clean finish this is a wine you can sip all summer long!

Crafted from 100% estate grown Merlot, the light red cherry, pomegranate and dried herb notes continue from the nose to the palate. Kissed with a touch of sweetness which enhances the fruit and adds to the body, this wine is perfect for summer wine cocktails or simply enjoying on its own.
