Nk’Mip Cellars 2010 Mer’r’iym, Okanagan Valley

by | Sep 4, 2013

Oliver, BC’s Nk’Mip Cellars (pronounced In-ka-meep) is North America’s first aboriginal owned and operated winery, and has set the precedent worldwide for successful, Native run businesses. Mer’r’iym (pronounced mur’-eem’) translates as marriage, and here references the perfect union of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Plush and full-bodied, this premium red is rich with sweet, ripe plum, dense cassis, tobacco leaf and silken dark chocolate cherries. Textured and lengthy, you can pair with beef tenderloin or lay down for a few years.
