Reelin’ in the whites and rosès

Cast the lines and set sail for Ray’s Boathouse in Seattle with an event to get your summer’s sips jump started. At Seattle Uncorked’s 11th Annual Rosè Revival and Cool Whites wine bash, the best whites and rosès of the Northwest have been invited to provide you with an evening of delicious sips, this Wednesday, June 19.

Enjoy the evening’s scenery from Ray’s Boathouse right on the Puget Sound while tasting from more than 30 of the region’s best chilled wines. Sorry reds, you aren’t invited to this one.

Luscious pink rosès from Pinot Noir, Cab Franc, Syrah and other small lots in Washington will be about as dark as glasses get. But varieties of whites from Prosecco, Pinot Gris and Viognier will keep them clear as the evening sky’s setting sun.

The chefs of Ray’s Boathouse have prepared a menu of bites to go with your tasting. With the pulled Moroccan lamb on pita chips, a tropical Hawaiian macaroni salad and blue cheese covered grapes rolled in crushed almonds.

Proceeds from the even will go to support the efforts of Save Our Wild Salmon, a coalition of people working to restore and keep the nation’s salmon populations abundant and self-sustaining.

Some of the participating wineries include: Bartholomew Winery, Davenport Cellars, Lodmell Cellars, Wind Rose Cellars and Obelisco Estate.

Wednesday, June 19 || 6-9 pm || Ray’s Boathouse || 6049 Seaview Ave. NW Seattle || Tickets: $35
