Master Distiller and motorcycle enthusiast John Wohlfert will ride his custom Halcyon 450 across the country, being shaken and stirred along the way!

SHAKEN & STIRRED TOUR OVERVIEW:

Snohomish, WA –  Beginning June 23, 2025, Wohlfert Craft Distilling launches 10 Days / Ten Cocktails at ICONIC locations between Chicago and Seattle featuring craft beverages produced by Master Distiller John Wohlfert as he travels across the country with his 1920-inspired Janus Motorcycle – The Black Kat.

Working in collaboration with various associates, John Wohlfert and his sidekicks, Cocktail Meistro Cody Moberg and brand experience pro Gary Finnan , will document

A Traveling Tasting Tour with stops at different retail and social outlets along the way. The intention is to offer daily stops that will afford test and taste opportunities while promoting the brand story and products. Ten “Ramble” cocktails have been developed to pour at each stop by Wohlfert ‘s resident Cocktail aficionado Cody Moberg, including Wohlfert Craft Distilling’s approach to non-alcoholic spirits. Join us and toast to the spirit of the original Outriders who were integral in the production and distribution of moonshine during Prohibition by scouting supply routes on their early 20th-century motorcycles.)

A primary focus will be on pre-booking tastings at Total Wine & More locations along the route. Wohlfert Craft Spirits is currently approved for 19 Flagship TW&M locations and will utilize the feedback and promotion to gain insight, awareness, and support from new location managers for use in our future presentation to TW&M, with the goal of inclusion in their Spirits Direct National Program.

A documentary video will be shot during the trip for use in future brand promotion, with excerpts of life along the road and social media snippets being shared twice daily.

The objective is to engage with media, consumers, and motorcycle enthusiasts along the way by creating a “Where in the World is John (Waldo)?” each day. Emerging from his daily ride to safely share and pour a Ramble Cocktail, John will be truly shaken and stirred by the thrill of riding his Halcyon 450…

Wohlfert Craft Distillery is a family-owned distillery in Clearview, Washington. John and Karen Wolfert share a passion for recipe creation and the artistry involved with the hands-on engagement of a non-automated still, and they invite you to come experience the distillery. John’s great-grandfather, Johann Wohlfert, was born in Bavaria and, In 1890, at the age of 14, he was working as a baker’s assistant in a bakery in Queens, New York when he married John’s great-grandmother. By 1925, he had 3 bakeries, and “business” was booming in part thanks to the 18th Amendment. Technically, all you really need is sugar and yeast to make a vodka mash, and John’s great-granddaddy had plenty of both.  John is happy to tell the whole story over a tipple in our Clubhouse and share his great-grandparents’ photo with their “Delivery Truck” in 1920…
