Summer Vineyard Tour showcases 30 years of growth

by | Jul 17, 2013

Wine has become a big deal in Washington over the years. It’s boosted the state’s economy, giving people something local to sip on and us here at Sip Northwest Magazine a job.

Take a look back at where it all began 30 years ago in the harmonious landscape of the Yakima Valley during their Summer Vineyard Tour, July 27. Take an exclusive tour through three of the Yakima Valley’s oldest vineyards and meet some of the area’s most experienced grape growers. Rarely open to the public, this tour is a very special opportunity for those interested in learning about the area’s winemaking process while enjoying the tastes and sips coming out.

The jam-packed day will take guests through the vineyards and sips of DuBrul Vineyard, Kestrel View Estates and Kiona Vineyards.

Kestrel’s own Executive Chef Jessica Smith is working to prepare a palatable menu of bites for guests to snack on along the way throughout their tour.

To transport guests, an air-conditioned shuttle will provide the ease of travel, and some much needed relief from the Central Washington heat. The shuttle will pick-up guests in Sunnyside, Wash. the morning of the tour.

Although the tour is currently at capacity, schedules can conflict and things can change every now and then. To get on the waitlist, email wineyakimavalley2@msn.com.

Saturday, July 27 || 9 am – 4:45 pm || Yakima Valley || Tickets: $95
