Skip Rock Nocino (Walnut) Liqueur

by | Sep 20, 2013

With roots in Northern Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region, nocino has made its way to the Northwest. Made from unripe, green walnuts, nocino is a bittersweet and aromatic walnut liqueur and leave it to fruit-liqueur gurus at Snohomish, Wash.’s Skip Rock Distillers to make one for the public. Using walnuts from their estate farm, this Nocino Liqueur is abundantly nutty, spicy and round with a balanced bittersweet flavor and underlying citrus note. Supplement for vermouth in an earthy spin on a Manhattan.
