Recipe: Love Potion #17

by | Feb 13, 2017

In this Valentine’s Day cocktail built for two, Stem Cider‘s L’Acier is the perfect partner. The Denver cidery’s bright, clean and dry cider also shoots out tannin for structure and dry fruit notes, working as a broad and crisp cider topping to this approachable cocktail. To love!

Love Potion #17
Makes 2 cocktails

3 ounces gin
1 ½ ounces fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 ½ ounces lemon infused simple syrup*
1 ounce pomegranate juice
3 ounces Stem Cider L’Acier
Garnish: 2 fresh rosemary sprigs

Measure the gin, lemon juice, simple syrup and pomegranate juice into a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice, cap and shake. Strain into two, chilled martini glasses, top each cocktail with 1 ½ ounces of cider. Garnish with rosemary.

*To make lemon infused simple syrup: combine 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water and 3 strips of lemon zest. Bring to a simmer. Remove from heat, cool and store refrigerated for up to 1 month.
