Available Now Jubilee Cans Offer a Festive and Nostalgic Glimpse Of Rainier’s Historic and Hilarious Past
The mountain is calling and it’s saying one thing: Jubilee is back. Rainier Beer’s fan-favorite limited-edition Jubilee cans return this winter. The always iconic white cans adorned with the big red ‘R’ get a temporary facelift with an exciting illustrated design that dips into the brand’s beloved history for a holiday tradition that dates back to the 1950s.
It was in the 1950s that Rainier first celebrated the holiday season with the seasonal release of their holiday cans dubbed ‘Jubilee.’ The fan-favorite tradition continued for over a decade and 50 years later in 2013, the tradition was revived. Since then, the arrival of Rainier’s Jubilee cans have heralded the commencement of the holidays, signifying good times, winter spirit, and community pride.
This year’s Jubilee can and packaging design reach into Rainier’s storied and mythical past, referencing some of the brand’s most iconic commercials: the motorcycle spot with the engine’s shift sounding out ‘Rain-nieeeer-beeeeeeeer,’ the Rainier crossing commercial featuring the brand’s anthropomorphic Wild Rainiers, and a lone frog nodding to an early ad where frogs sounded out ‘Rain-nier-beer’ instead of their usual ribbit croaks.Fans can expect to see the Jubilee designs across 12 oz and 16 oz cans, 30-packs, and a special edition tin housing Rainier Mountain Fresh Gin, each hand-numbered with only 1,000 produced, starting mid-November. This year’s Jubilee collection will also include new limited-edition merch pieces and even a set of Rainier skis for those who like their beer chilled at elevation.
