Rachel’s Ginger Beer Blood Orange

by | Mar 31, 2014

Rachel Marshall opened her flagship storefront in Seattle’s historic Pike Place Market last summer, a major upgrade from her diminutive Capitol Hill neighborhood production shop that was the original brick and mortar for her Rachel’s Ginger Beer brand. More than a brand, more than a ginger beer, Rachel’s has been a revolution in ginger beer—the real good, feel good stuff created from fresh lemons, flavorsome ginger roots, organic cane sugar and pure water. From the straight GB to the infusions, Rachel’s Ginger Beer is easily one of Seattle’s favorite local cocktail mixers and has found its way into many bartenders’ wells. The seasonal offerings need to be taken advantage of, including the Blood Orange Ginger Beer which is available in the above mentioned flagship store and online. With no shortage of flavor, the Blood Orange is one of their bestsellers and for good reason—tart and tangy with juicy, sweet citrus mixed with the pang of ginger, this ginger beer encompasses the transition of the seasons from winter citrus to the blast of spring with spicy ginger.
