May is Oregon Wine Month!

From the wondrous hikes of the Columbia River Gorge, to the impeccable number of microbreweries, to the “weirdness” of Portland, and to many more wonders in between, Oregonians take pride in various aspects of their beautiful state and wine produced in local wineries is no exception. May 2014 marks the third year of Oregon Wine Month where experts and casual wine drinkers alike are encouraged to discover the masterful concoctions that Oregon wineries have perfected.

In a state boasting more than 450 wineries, there is no question as to why an entire month is dedicated to this booming industry—a fact that benefits all considering multiple wineries, distributors, and restaurants give various discounts and tasting options in honor of this month long celebration. No matter the degree of your knowledge regarding wine, there exists an event right in line with your appreciation for the glorious beverage. From scheduled tastings and pairings, to restaurants simply offering specials for sipping on local productions, there is no good excuse to not partake in the festivities that Oregon Wine Month has to offer.
