Washington wineries make their way to Seattle for two-day event

Forget to make plans for the upcoming weekend? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Taste Washington takes a plunge again this weekend March 29-30 into Seattle’s CenturyLink Field Event Center with more than 200 featured Washington wineries.

Wine seminars with clever names such as “The Allure of the Exotic” and “A Winemaker, a Brewer and a Distiller Walk Into a Bar” are offered both days this weekend to keep you on your toes and enhance your knowledge of Washington wines and spirits, and how they compare globally. Each seminar is hosted by a nationally professional wine sommelier, and are educational based.

Remember to eat while you’re at the Taste; lavish in the Seattle culinary scene while you pair the bites with your favorite wines – or maybe a new one! Alaska Airlines Chef’s Stage will showcase Northwest celebrity chefs with culinary tips.

Swing by the Vineyard Tasting Area to learn how grapes from the same vineyard can end up tasting very different in wines produced at different wineries. Taste your way through the selections while learning about Washington’s grape-growing conditions and why these locations are putting themselves on the global wine map.

Tickets can be bought online or through various retails centers in Seattle. Prices vary between packages, days and singles.
