Limited-Edition Gin Raises Funds for Women in Leadership
PORTLAND, OR (2/27/26) – Starting March, Freeland Spirits – one of the few women-owned craft distilleries in the country – is once again taking aim at that glass ceiling, this time with the launch of a limited-edition Pink Gin for Women’s History Month 2026. Proceeds will raise funds for Xcelerate, an organization dedicated to advancing women-owned businesses and leadership in Oregon.
“This Pink Gin is truly special,” says Freeland Spirits Founder Jill Kuehler. “The vibrant fuschia color is bold and brazen, while the botanical profile is complex and with a touch of sweetness. An all around beautiful celebration of femininity.”
The striking hue of Freeland’s small batch Pink Gin is derived naturally from carmine, and complemented by a botanical profile that includes marshmallow root, turmeric, lemon verbena, and the wild sweetness of huckleberries.
Crafted in honor of Women’s History Month, this vibrant spirit is designed to celebrate the past, present, and future of women in leadership, with $3 from every bottle sold in March donated directly to Xcelerate.
“Currently, fewer than 8% of US distilleries are owned and operated by women, so we understand the unique opportunity we have to be a voice for lifting up more women leaders,” continues Kuehler.
The launch of Pink Gin arrives at a pivotal moment for the distillery. Freeland recently launched a WeFunder campaign, inviting the community to become literal stakeholders in their success. Through this investment opportunity, Freeland is reinforcing the theme of collective women empowerment and sustainable growth.

- Palate: Huckleberry, bright lemon mint, and fruit pie, grounded by exotic bitter spice and a very mild honey-agave sweetness.
