Boyden Valley Cidery Releases Four Ciders in Cans

by | Jan 18, 2019

Boyden Valley Cidery is excited to release four ciders in cans for the first time ever!

The can craze that has been sweeping the market for a few years now has inspired Boyden Valley Cidery to take their high-quality ciders, previously only available in 750ml glass bottles, and can them for the convenience of their customers and exposure of their brand to a whole new demographic.  It’s no surprise that their already loyal fan base is excited for these 4-pack cans, with one Facebook fan stating “Been waiting my whole life for a can release party!!”.

Cans are so convenient, they can be enjoyed around a fire pit in the snow after a great day on the mountain or taken along on a summer kayak trip on one of Vermont’s beautiful scenic waterways.  They are easy to share, and you never have to worry about broken glass.  Ciders are the perfect product to please everyone with a variety of flavors, naturally gluten free, and in a perfect container for any location.

Boyden Valley ciders are no exception to the high-quality products produced by Boyden Valley Winery.  They have been working with local farms for over 20 years to source fresh, local ingredients.  Every chef and foodie knows the importance of local fresh ingredients.  Boyden Valley Cidery is bringing you that fresh, local experience in their new cider cans.  The New Taste in Vermont Cider™.

Starting with fresh McIntosh, Empire, and Northern Spy apples pressed at the Brown Family Orchard in Castleton to make a crisp cider that will refresh your pallet, then infused with more fresh ingredients to impart amazing flavors.  Each of the four cider varieties are uniquely incredible.

Vermont Ice Hard Cider is your classic semi-dry cider with full apple flavor that is crafted from 100% apples and finished with Boyden Vermont Ice Cider to further intensify the apple flavor.

Honey Hopper Cider utilizes fresh citra and cascade hops in a dry-hop method and blends a local clover honey from Champlain Valley Apiaries in Middlebury to balance the bitterness of the hops.  Both will be available in 16oz 4-pack cans at 6.9%ABV.

The RO CIDER, CranBog, is infused with cranberry wine fermented from fresh cranberries on their skins sourced from the Vermont Cranberry Company in Fletcher giving it both a sweet and tart note with a rosé style.

Royale Cider is semi-sweet with an amazing robust black currant flavor imparted from organically grown black currants fermented on the skins, from The Farm Between in Jeffersonville.  These two ciders pack an unexpected punch in the 12oz 4-packs at 8.2% – 8.8%ABV!

Where to try our Ciders:

Saturday, January 26th, Boyden Valley Winery will be holding a release event at the winery in Cambridge from 10am-5pm and offering 15% off 24-pack cases.

Saturday, February 2nd, Beverage Warehouse of Vermont in Winooski will give you the opportunity to meet the Boydens from 1pm-3pm, try all four ciders, and pick up 4-packs of your favorites!

After February 2nd, Boyden Cidery expects the cider cans to be available throughout the state in your local stores, bars, and restaurants.  Ask for them at your favorite spots, and if they don’t already have them available, their Baker Distributing representative will be happy to supply them!
