Bardenay London Dry Gin

by | Aug 15, 2014

Bardenay Distillery is the first restaurant-distillery in the United States. Kind of a big deal. With three different locations in Idaho including Boise, Coeur d’Alene and Eagle, Bardenay’s distillery location in Boise was once an empty warehouse on the Historic Basque Block and in 2010, the first cocktails mixed with spirits created on-site were served. Also uniquely enough, Bardenay uses a brown sugar cane distillate as their base spirit for their London Dry Gin (they also make a rum, which might add up more evenly). This gin is a traditional and quintessential London Dry style with a strong botanical nose of juniper, mint, orange rind and light licorice aromas with a creamy, smooth and flavorsome palate showing citrus, herbs and spice.
