A Pacific Northwest Whiskey, Blended for Adventure, Giving Back to Washington Trails
SEATTLE, WA – Aug. 5, 2025 – Westland Distillery, the SoDo-based pioneer producer of Westland American Single Malt whiskey, is stepping beyond its signature category for the first time with its home state debut of Watchpost Whiskey (SRP: $37.99, 42.5/% ABV), an American blended whiskey deeply rooted in the landscape, values, and culture of Washington State. Guided by the motto “Good Friends, Safe Travels,” Watchpost is created in the same sense of the spirit of the state – unpretentious, easygoing, and adventurous.
Made in Seattle and inspired by the trails, forests, and outdoor communities that define life in the Pacific Northwest, Watchpost blends 8-year-old Westland American Single Malt with grain whiskey from America’s heartland. The result is a whiskey that’s both easygoing and layered, created with care, and inspired by the outdoors. There are notes of roasted grain, milk chocolate, toasted biscuit, apricot, and cherry pie.
“This release represents something new for Westland, but it’s born from the same beliefs that have always guided us,” says Jason Moore, Managing Director at Westland Distillery. “Watchpost is for people who value where something comes from as much as how it tastes.”
True to Westland Distillery’s long-standing commitment to transparency and community, $1 from every bottle of Watchpost sold over the next two years will be donated to Washington Trails Association, helping protect and maintain public access to trails across the state.
Watchpost Whiskey will be available exclusively in Washington State beginning August 1, 2025, with bottles for sale at Westland’s SoDo distillery and online for in-state delivery or pickup. Early purchases include a limited-edition gift while supplies last.
