Deschutes Brewery River Ale

by | Feb 26, 2015

Deschutes Brewery maintains a stellar lineup of seasonals, and the new batch of River Ale is the next one up. The powerhouse Bend, Oregon brewing operation’s sessionable springtime brew is a light 4% ABV, and similarly light, refreshing and sippable in flavor. Classic citruses, especially lemon, lend a sunshiny crispness, while subtle hops (Crystal, Nugget, Cascade) back them up. As the title suggests in an ode to the mighty Deschutes River, this is the perfect beer for an afternoon sitting by or floating the nearest lazy river or drinking on draft at Deschutes’ Public House in Northwest Portland.
