From the sunny landscapes of California to a southern Oregon apple orchard, Blair Smith and Marcey Kelley kicked off their cider production with modest, non-alcoholic sweet ciders. Soon after their Applegate, Ore., orchard business took off (as Thompson Creek Organics), Apple Bandit was launched by the two, producing ciders from their certified organic estate orchard, which is home to more than 1,000 trees, a wide range of varieties including some undetermined heirlooms and now cider varietals. The flagship cider for the brand, coyly titled Apple Bandit, is a sparkling, semi-sweet cider that is refreshingly light, bright and playful with gallons of juicy apple flavor and a crisp finish.
