Timbertrain Coffee Roasters
When three friends quit their careers and come together to collectively follow their shared dream, the product is bound to be good, right? Right. A true labor of love, Timbertrain Coffee Roasters combines passion, craft and skill into one curated cup of caffeinated bliss. Roasting three types of coffee made from quality, fresh, green beans sourced from Costa Rica and Guatemala, Timbertain uses a slow bar method to create each masterful mug that they brew. Each cup of coffee roasted and brewed at the Timbertrain is a true work of art. With two locations, including their new Gastown roastery, coffee lovers living in Vancouver needn’t travel far to enjoy a superb cup of coffee.
Café Allegro
When Seattle’s oldest coffeehouse makes plans to open a roastery, it’s kind of a big deal. Construction on Café Allegro’s new roastery and extended seating area commenced last week after the coffee house successfully met their fundraising goal of $10,000 (a big thanks to all their supporters who chipped in on their Crowdtilt fundraising page). A beloved caffeination hub located in Seattle’s University District, Café Allegro has been a Seattle-staple since 1975. In the past year, Café Allegro has seen many changes, including a coffee delivery service and now the construction of a roastery, expanded seating, and even an in-house education bar, coming soon.
Coava Coffee Roasters
Beloved Portland coffee house Coava Coffee Roasters is celebrating the grand opening of their second location on Thursday, May 1, at the new Hawthorn Twenty Six building. Dedicated to integrating “quality, complexity and balance” in each cup of coffee that they make, this coffee roaster gets extra brownie points for their recent collaboration with Gigantic Brewing Company. Renowned for their roast, Coava has been celebrated for producing some of the highest rated coffee in the world.
