From cycling through wine country to headline concerts and new air service, the Walla Walla Valley delivers an unforgettable summer experience
With long days, golden sunsets, and vineyard-lined landscapes, the Walla Walla Valley is set to welcome visitors for an exciting summer season packed with new events, live music, and enhanced travel access. From the debut of immersive outdoor experiences to a nationally touring artist at the Wine Country Amphitheatre, this year’s lineup highlights Walla Walla’s continued evolution as a premier Pacific Northwest destination.
Starting in June, Portland-based travelers can take advantage of expanded regional access with convenient non-stop Alaska flights to neighboring Pasco (PSC), making it easier than ever to reach the Valley for a weekend getaway or extended stay.
Among the season’s new offerings is the inaugural Walla Walla Bike Camp, a multi-day cycling experience set against the backdrop of scenic wine country and the Blue Mountains. Blending guided rides, curated tastings, and lively community gatherings, Walla Walla Bike Camp offers an active and immersive way to explore the region. Supporting the Šináata Scholarship at Whitman College, this unique experience is equal parts cycling adventure, food-and-wine celebration, and arts-and-culture escape. Participants can ride as much or as little as they like, with thoughtfully designed routes, optional rest days, and authentic local experiences along the way. With the ease of unpacking just once, it’s more than a bike tour; it’s a meaningful, all-encompassing getaway that captures the spirit and culture of Walla Walla.
Live music remains a cornerstone of summer in Walla Walla, with a full slate of performances, including a highly anticipated appearance by Jelly Roll on July 22 at the Wine Country Amphitheatre. The venue’s walkable location near downtown and its 5,000-seat capacity continue to attract nationally recognized talent throughout the season.
