Available now in 64 select Oregon liquor stores and at the 503 Distilling Lounge in Portland, this small-batch release is set to make waves among fans of light, refreshing cocktails.
A Groundbreaking Limited Release
The Grapefruit Paloma stands out for its uniquely “allocated” status—a first for Oregon’s canned cocktail market, where limited releases are typically reserved for bottled spirits. Crafted with real white grapefruit, lime, lemon-lime soda, and authentic tequila from Jalisco, Mexico, the Paloma features a lower 7% ABV, making it 503’s most sessionable and crushable canned cocktail to date.
“We wanted to create something that’s both refreshing and approachable, perfect for those who love our cocktails but want a lighter option for any occasion,” said Dave Schleef, co-founder of 503 Distilling. “After a successful club release last fall, we knew this Paloma deserved a wider audience—just in time for Cinco de Mayo and Oregon’s sunny season.”
From Club Favorite to Limited Edition
The Grapefruit Paloma began as a limited release for 503 Distilling club members in November 2024. Following enthusiastic reception, the company decided to create this special batch for public release. The recipe was specifically developed to offer a lighter, more refreshing alternative to higher-proof cocktails, designed for consumers who want to enjoy more than one in a sitting.
Authentic Ingredients, Exceptional Taste
Only 450 cases were produced, with distribution to liquor stores from Baker City to Cave Junction. Approximately 80% of inventory is expected to sell out by the end of May. Customers can use the product finder on the 503 Distilling website or OregonLiquorSearch.
