Wine, ice cream and games: Diffraction Wines set to open in Manson this Summer

by | May 16, 2024

What if there was a space where you could grab a seat on a hot pink couch, sip a glass of wine and play a game of Super Mario Bros on an 8-bit NES emulator with family or friends? At the new Diffraction Wines space in downtown Manson, Washington, you can.

Diffraction Wines is the sister label of Chelan area–based Cairdeas Winery. The brand is dedicated to pouring quality, approachable wines for everyday sipping. The white, red and rosé wines are just as stunning as the colorful labels on their bottles, and that inspiration extends to the ultimate family-friendly Lake Chelan hangout spot.

The new tasting space will be housed in the former Ancestry Cellars location in downtown Manson, next to Lake Chelan Brewing and just a few minutes’ walk to Manson Bay Park. The vision includes a vibrant, colorful space with Star Wars pinball, stand-up arcade games and other classic game consoles. “The new space will combine Diffraction Wines, local beer, ice cream and nostalgic entertainment,” says Lacey Lybecker, president and owner of Cairdeas Winery and Diffraction Wines.

While Diffraction Wines doesn’t have an official opening date just yet, they’re aiming for July.
