In 1996, the SuperSonics reached the NBA Finals, Nirvana released “From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah,” and Elysian Brewing Company poured its first beer in Seattle’s Capitol Hill. A lot has changed since, but the beer is still flowing from Elysian, 20 years later. To celebrate, Elysian is throwing a rager on Saturday, June 11, complete with plenty of beer from Elysian and friends, food trucks, art, live entertainment, special appearances and much more.
“This city, its residents, beer lovers and countless local organizations have made Elysian a household name in the Pacific Northwest since we first opened our doors nearly 20 years ago, and we owe so much of our success to them,” said Joe Bisacca, founder of Elysian Brewing Company. “We feel it is our duty, a duty we take with pride, to throw one hell of a party and raise a glass to our fans for their loyalty and support.”
BEER
With more than 350 varieties brewed to date, Elysian is known for output and innovation, a legacy that will be on display at the party. From Space Dust IPA to Superfuzz Blood Orange Pale to Hawaiian Sunburn Sour, beer lovers can bet their favorite will be there. Plus, guests can enjoy a selection from other Northwest breweries at the celebration.
MUSIC
The Black Lips will be entertaining the crowd with their garage rock and unpredictable antics. They will be joined throughout the event by Seattle favorite KEXP DJ Riz Rollins, The Ravonettes and Chaotic Noise marching band. More bands will be announced closer to the event.
CHARITY
To give back to the community that has given Elysian so much and in the spirit of Elysian’s history and commitment to giving, proceeds from all ticket sales and net proceeds from beer and merchandise sales will be donated to five worthy charities, including Team RWB, Bloodworks Northwest, Fisher House Foundation, Fred Hutch’s Obliteride and Bailey-Boushay House.
