Stein Distillery Rye Vodka

by | May 1, 2015

Stein Distillery is situated in little Joseph, Oregon (population of barely over 1,000), where it proudly claims the title of Eastern Oregon’s first microdistillery. Since 2009 the Stein family has used grain grown on its own farm in carefully executed family recipes, leveraging the distilling process and consistent small-batch methods to let the ingredients’ true colors shine through.

In Stein’s Rye Vodka, the trend toward vodkas that maintain a muted base flavor is manifest in a smooth yet subtly distinctive product with characteristics of its unique 100 percent rye base readily apparent. Thanks to the piquant grain, the spirit’s crisp and clean aroma is followed on the palate by rich, snappy spice, tempered with notes of creamy, woodsy vanilla and even hints of cocoa, and all followed by a long, smooth finish.
