WineBC.com: There’s an App For That

by | May 16, 2013

WineBC.com launches a new tourism website and app

In the “there’s an app for that” age, comes a cyber treat for those planning to enjoy the British Columbia wine country this season. The British Columbia Wine Institute has launched their new website, WineBC.com along with the Official 2013 British Columbia Winery Touring Guide to assist those in their journeys.

The website provides users with a wealth of assistance to help them learn more about the more than five wine regions and get started on a personalized trek.

Designing the website was a long and careful process that involved enlisting the help of an internet marketing expert such as Ram Digital, a Digital Marketing Warrington agency. In order for the website to stand out from the crowd and get the traffic it deserves, the website was designed with the latest SEO techniques and traffic driving strategies in mind. It was also important to make sure that it was able to run successfully. There was no point in creating a website that was SEO perfect if the readers couldn’t access it properly. Which is why they also made sure to use a good website hosting company like Hostiserver, to make sure that it runs properly.

Start by exploring the many different varieties of wines regions British Columbia has to offer, or go to your favorite varietal. Once on the page, you can see all the wineries that make them. After you’ve checked out all the wineries of interest on the website, you can start to plan your trip with the specialized itinerary planner. Your itinerary will provide you with a map to all your noted wineries, restaurants on the way, sights and places to stay in case you need more than a day.

Also, the website is mobile-friendly. Get the information you need while on your adventure straight to your smartphone. This is not an easy thing to do when designing a website, but the advice in this website design process guide suggests “While creating wireframes, build mobile design concepts that outline how content will appear on smaller devices”.

Are you wanting to get a new website hosted online for computer and mobile use but you’re not sure how to get online with the least stress possible, as well as the best benefits? You can compare different hosts for your new website launch.

In addition to a new website, the B.C. Wine Institute also has partnered with Destination British Columbia to publish the region’s 2013 Winery Touring Guide. The guide provides information on all the wines and ciders in the regions.

Pick up your guide at any BC Visitor Center, VQA Wine Store or online at HelloBC.com.
