2018 Staking Claim Chardonnay
Adelsheim |  Newberg, Ore.

Willamette Valley and Chehalem Mountains pioneer David Adelsheim first experienced site- and clone-specific Chardonnay in Burgundy, France, in 1974. Over the years, he brought those same Chardonnay clones to the Chehalem Mountains to “stake claim” and bring his vision to life. This wine is Chardonnay from that very region, handpicked and whole cluster-pressed, aged in French oak and stainless steel with partial malolactic fermentation. Abundant aromas match the equally liberal flavors with golden apple, baking spices, pineapple, white flowers and Bosc pear. The luscious, medium-bodied palate is balanced with acidity and generous texture, leaving you salivating and yearning for another glass.
