TURNER, Ore. — Willamette Valley Vineyards, a leading producer of Oregon Pinot Noir, is hosting its first Run Willamette 5K and Kids 1K on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at its Estate winery in the Salem Hills.

Limited to 300 participants, the cost to enter is $55 per person and $15 for the Kids 1K. The 5-kilometer run/walk begins at 9:30 am.

The 5K entry fee includes

  • Official racing t-shirt and custom finisher medal
  • Complimentary glass of wine for finishers
  • A $10 wine credit ($15 for shareholders and club members)

Those who enter the race are encouraged to donate to ¡Salud!, a non-profit program that provides accessible and affordable healthcare services for vineyard stewards and their families.

The race course, designed to challenge and inspire, takes participants on a loop around the Estate Vineyard. Participants will enjoy stunning views of the vines and surrounding hills throughout the race.

Post-race celebrations include live music, special awards and the opportunity to purchase additional bottles and food when the winery opens at 11 am.

The Kids 1K offers a one-kilometer route for young enthusiasts. Parents and guardians can accompany children in the shorter race. Kids will receive a racing t-shirt and finisher medal.

Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, June 28, 2024, at the Estate in the Salem Hills from 4 pm to 8 pm, with additional pick-up options available on race day.
