Where to Sip, Shop and Stay in Seabrook, WA

by | Jun 21, 2024

Home to miles of wide-open beach, mountain bike and hiking trails, sports courts, indoor and outdoor heated pools, as well as a boutique spa, fitness center and arcade, the vibrant town of Seabrook, Washington, is an award-winning destination on the Pacific coast.  With more than 300 vacation homes, it’s an ideal getaway for all ages, any time of year.

It is said that Seabrook gets as many sunny days as Carmel, California, and is known for its gorgeous sunrises over towering forests and stunning sunsets over the Pacific Ocean. The charming town is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Construction started in 2005 on a 34-acre plot of land that had been clear cut several times and left unhealthy and unmanaged. Since then, Seabrook has grown to more than 600 homes in nine micro-neighborhoods, with an active town center and a full array of amenities for residents, vacationers and day trippers.

An onsite concierge is available to assist guests with vacation planning, from setting up car detailing or family portraits, to stocking the kitchen before you arrive. Once you park your car you most likely won’t use it again. The town is completely walkable and offers an on-demand shuttle service easily accessible through an app.

Where to sip

Visitors will find some of Washington’s most celebrated restaurants, along with an expansive wine bar, bakery, juice and salad bar, and a classic ice cream and candy shop. Fresh Foods Market is located in the town center and stocks over 12,000 products at affordable prices — everything guests need to cook at home, along with a large selection of beer, wine and spirits. It also offers grab-and-go items perfect for hikes or a picnic at the beach.

The Stowaway Wine Bar is the only wine bar on the Washington coast with a view of the ocean. Here you can spend an afternoon tasting your way through their expansive selection of red, white, rosé and sparkling options. Stop by Rising Tide Tavern for an after-dinner craft cocktail, or Koko’s Restaurant for their famous jalapeño margarita.

Where to shop

A curated group of merchants makes up the bulk of the town center. You’ll find men’s and women’s boutique clothing stores, a toy shop, bookstore, home goods stores, an outdoor gear and rental shop, barber shop, spa boutique and a DIY candle studio.

Where to stay

Vacation homes of all sizes are available to rent — from the beachfront to the bustling town center, or even the serene farm district and beyond. Guests will find everything from small cabins and cottages that sleep two, to homes suitable for up to 22. They vary in size and style, and include amenities such as private hot tubs, pet friendly lodging, fire pits, EV charging stations and work-from-home options. Many are stocked with family-friendly items, games and beach toys.

What to do

Events are scheduled throughout the year, ranging from an outdoor summer concert series and oceanfront yoga sessions, to celebrity chef dinners, a beachside author series, wine tastings, wellness classes, an expert-in-residence program, festivals and holiday celebrations.

Outdoor enthusiasts will find Seabrook ripe with adventures. Bike, skim board and surfboard rentals are offered through Basecamp Adventure & Bike Shop, along with guided lessons and tours. An outdoor roller rink transitions to an ice skating rink once winter hits. Pickleball enthusiasts enjoy playing on a court with a full ocean view.

Fishing fanatics will find prime opportunities on four rivers, and deep-sea fishing experiences off the coast. Those interested in whale watching can travel south for an opportunity to see gray whales and orcas during their migration seasons.
